The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority issued notice on Wednesday that with more than 20mm of mixed precipitation, some ponding and localized flooding was possible.
Officials say it may be necessary to operate the McGregor Creek Diversion Channel if accumulating ice blocks drainage outlets.
Residents are reminded to avoid the Thames River, ditches, and streams with slippery conditions and fast-moving water.
