Lucky Stiff Hits the Stage at St Andrew’s

A madcap musical adventure hits the stage at St Andrew’s United Church this weekend.

As part of its Spotlight Series, Performing Arts at St Andrew’s is putting on a production of Lucky Stiff, a musical farce following Harry Witherspoon as he navigates a hilarious list of posthumous requests in order to inherit millions from his recently deceased uncle. Should he fail, the money will be donated to a Brooklyn dog rescue.

“We’re excited to continue the momentum from last year’s Spelling Bee with another high-energy, comedic musical,” said Director Christine Baribeau. “Lucky Stiff is full of surprises and perfect for families looking for a fun and lively night out. We’re especially excited to welcome a new addition to the cast – an adorable dog who’s sure to win the audience’s hearts!”

Representatives of PAWR (Pet and Wildlife Rescue) will introduce some adoptable pets at intermission and explain the work the organization does. Financial donations to PAWR will be accepted as well as donations of animal toys and cat food.

Performances will take place at 7pm on Friday, October 25, 2pm on Saturday, October 26, and 7pm on Saturday, October 26. Tickets are available at the church office or online at www.standrewschatham.org/tickets. Proceeds support St. Andrew’s music and arts programs. Doors open at 6:30 PM.
