Mad About Science This Summer

This week marks the start of a special summer camp, teaching local kids about the magic of science. mad-science

General Manager Kathleen Westlake says the six-week Mad Science program kicks off this Saturday in both Wallaceburg and Chatham.

“There are six different topics we’ll be teaching, one each week,” Westlake says. “For instance in the magic class, they’ll be learning about different magic tricks and how science is used in a lot of what we see on the stage to redirect us and trick our eyes.”

Other weekly topics include the four forces that affect flight, air pressure, centripetal force, tension and compression, and chemistry.

The course is geared towards kids aged five through 12.

Mad Science has been run as an after school program in some parts of Chatham-Kent in the past, but this is the first time it’s been made more widely available.

There are still a few spots available, you can register online at madscienceofwindsor.com
