Today is International Credit Union Day with some special events planned in Chatham.
In honour of International Credit Union Day, staff at Mainstreet Credit Union are giving back.
The Chatham office is closed this afternoon as employees volunteer their time to help plant trees at Kingston Park.
They’ll also be pitching in with yard maintenance at a Community Living home outside Chatham.
Mainstreet officials say it’s a way to help give back and strengthen the community.
Staff at other branches are also volunteering with other projects across southwestern Ontario.
