A Chatham teenager is facing charges for allegedly making threatening remarks.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers began an investigation on October 3 after responding to an address on Dover Street in Chatham.

Authorities issued a warrant for a suspect who turned himself in at police headquarters on Monday.

A 17-year-old youth is now charged with three counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and uttering threats to cause damage to property. The teen was later released and will answer the charges in court at a later date.
