A Chatham man has been arrested for allegedly harassing an 18-year-old woman.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a 37-year-old man had been cautioned by officers and told to cease all communication with the 18-year-old victim, who was known to him only through her employment at a local retail store.
However, the accused allegedly continued to send her unwanted and inappropriate messages, and the victim notified police on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m.
Authorities located the 37-year-old in Chatham at around 1 p.m., and he was arrested. He was charged with one count of harassing communications and held in custody for a bail hearing.
