A Thamesville man is facing charges in connection with the theft of a vehicle.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers received an Automated Licence Plate Recognition notification about a possible stolen vehicle in the Murray Street area in Wallaceburg on Thursday at around 10:30 a.m.
Police located the vehicle and determined that it had been stolen from the Durham Region. As well, the vehicle’s licence plates had also been stolen from another vehicle in Chatham-Kent.
As a result, a 41-year-old Thamesville man was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
