
A local man is facing charges after allegedly spitting on an employee at a Chatham business.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a business on Grand Avenue West at around 9 a.m. Thursday morning regarding an assault.
Police arrived and learned that an employee had been spit on by a man who then left on foot.
A suspect was later located and arrested. The 37-year-old Chatham man is now charged with assault and resisting arrest. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
