A 33-year-old man has been charged after he was allegedly seen assaulting a woman in Chatham.
A disturbance was reported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service on Thursday at around 2:54 p.m., after a man and a woman were seen arguing on Keil Drive. Police said the argument escalated when the man allegedly struck the woman and pushed her against a building.
The couple left the area before officers arrived but were located a short distance away.
A 33-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and is now charged with assault. He has been released from custody with a future court date.
