
A Chatham resident is facing charges in connection with several incidents of abuse.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Chatham residence on Monday shortly before 12:30 p.m. for a domestic dispute.
Following an investigation, authorities learned that a man had been the victim of multiple recent and historic incidents of abuse. Officers also noted visible injuries on the victim and property damage at the residence.
As a result, a 25-year-old Chatham resident is now charged with four counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and one count of mischief under $5,000. The accused has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
