Charges have been laid after two people were assaulted in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance at a Longwoods Road home at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Authorities said two people, who were known to each other, were involved in an altercation when one of them assaulted the other.
A 21-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and assaulting a peace officer. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Despite the charges, police have not released any details about a police officer being assaulted or if anyone was injured during the incident.
