Damaging a vehicle with a knife has led to charges for a Chatham-Kent man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a complaint on Monday at around 3 p.m. after a witness saw a man enter and damage a vehicle on Wellington Street in Chatham.
Officers arrived and found that the soft top roof of the vehicle had been slashed with a knife. A man was also located inside the vehicle and was arrested.
The 33-year-old accused is now charged with mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with a release order. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
