A Chatham man is facing charges after allegedly driving his vehicle into his ex-girlfriend.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a 911 call on Monday shortly before 11 p.m. which led to an intimate partner violence investigation.
According to police, a man was moving belongings into his vehicle from another vehicle, when he suddenly drove off and allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend, knocking her to the ground.
The woman was treated in hospital for minor injuries to her legs.
A 64-year-old Chatham man was later located and arrested. He is now charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm and failing to stop at a collision resulting in bodily harm.
The accused was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
