Man Hurt In Robbery

A Chatham variety store employee is recovering from injuries sustained in an attempted robbery in Chatham last night.

According to police the suspect walked into the Charlie’s Variety on Park Ave East around 11pm brandishing a weapon.

A fight ensued and the employee suffered cuts to his hand.

Police are searching for the suspect.
