A local man had to be rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard Sunday night after falling through the ice in Lake St. Clair.
OPP were called to the scene around 6:45 p.m.
With the help of the Chatham Kent Police service, Chatham Kent Fire, and Chatham-Kent EMS the male party was found, but out of the reach of would be rescuers.
The United States Coast Guard was called to pull the man from the frigid water and he was transported to hospital as a precaution.
