An assault charge has been laid after a security guard was spat on in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to an address on Grand Avenue West at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday after a verbal dispute escalated. Police have not released further details about where the incident took place.
Authorities learned that a man had spat on a security guard. Following an investigation, a 42-year-old suspect was arrested.
The Chatham man has since been charged with one count of assault and will answer the charge in court in October.
