A Tilbury woman has been charged after a man was seriously injured when an argument turned violent over the weekend.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said late Saturday afternoon, an argument between a man and a woman on Mill Street in Tilbury escalated when the woman threatened the man with a knife. The argument turned physical and the man suffered severe injuries.
Police were called at around 5 p.m. and officers arrived at the scene to find the man receiving care from concerned citizens. The victim was then rushed to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
A 20-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and is now charged with aggravated assault. She has since been remanded into custody following a bail hearing.
