News HeadlinesDon Cherry rants on Twitter about the OSPCA’s application to have 21 Pit Bull type dogs put down after a dog fighting ring near Tilbury was broken up.  Cherry, who is know for his love of animals especially Bull Dogs, was outraged that the OSPCA would consider such a move.

South Raleigh Fire Department is pleased to announce that DuPont Pioneer donated $ 5,500 for emergency rescue equipment as part of its Funding Initiative for Rural Emergencies.  The grant will specifically be used to purchase an air lifting bag system, to be used in extrication of victims from underneath vehicles and heavy equipment, as well as from small spaces after the collapse of buildings.

6 ounces of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $20 000.00 was seized yesterday after Chatham Kent Police stopped a vehicle on Communication Road south of the 401 yesterday.  A 55 year old Wallaceburg women and a 46 year old Raleigh Township man are facing narcotics charges

The 5th annual Chatham Car show opens up today at the John D. Bradly Center.  Over 100 vehicles for area dealers are on display throughout the weekend.
