The group, comprised of a core leadership team, community captains, and thousands of volunteers, collected 678,200 lbs of food for local food banks.
Over 3,000 volunteers set out across Chatham-Kent last week, bringing donations to dozens of drop off locations.
Organizers estimate that nearly 5,000 volunteers have been part of the Miracle since the start, with more helping out at several storage locations to help sort through the food.
The total amount collected beats a 2011 record set in North Carolina by about 100,000 pounds.
