The May Court Club of Chatham is honoring a number of ladies with their ‘Women of Excellence’ awards.  Peggy Seaman with the May Court Club says it was tough to choose who should get awards.

‘All the nominees were remarkable women, so choosing was very heart wrenching because every one of them should have gotten the award,” says Seaman. “(One of the winners) Emily Hime,  founded ‘Hime for Help’. It’s for children in Haiti who have great need for a home, so she established a home and does great volunteer work there.”

Jennifer Wilson, the driving force behind the Chatham-Kent Hospice, won the Community and Volunteerism award. Wilson was also the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.
