A familiar face in the community will soon be leading the fundraising efforts supporting end-of-life care in Chatham-Kent.

The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation Board of Directors has appointed Brock McGregor as the foundation’s new executive director, effective June 9.

“I am excited to join the Foundation team and contribute to the sustainability and growth of Chatham-Kent Hospice,” said McGregor in a news release. “Compassionate care makes a profound impact on individuals and families in our community every day, and I am eager to support this important work in Chatham-Kent.”

McGregor has served Chatham-Kent as a municipal councillor for the last 11 years, where he has held key leadership roles as chair of the Chatham-Kent Board of Health and chair of the Budget Committee.

The foundation board said McGregor was selected following an extensive selection process led by a local executive recruitment firm, Logic Executive Search and Workplace Solutions.

McGregor will take over the executive director position from Jodi Maroney who is set to retire on June 27.
