McHappy Day Raises $28,000 Locally

The numbers are in from this year’s McHappy Day in Chatham-Kent.

Yesterday marked the 25th annual McHappy Day fundraiser, with one dollar from every Big Mac, Happy Meal, and McCafe beverage sold supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities in the area.

McDonalds Restaurants in Chatham and Wallaceburg brought in $28,127 with the annual fundraiser, supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities in southwestern Ontario.

Last year’s fundraiser collected around $27,000.

Since its inception, McHappy Day has raised over 66-million dollars nation-wide to support Ronald McDonald House Charities and other local organizations.
