McNaughton Announces Funding For Local Infrastructure Projects

Monte McNaughton, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

The MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex has announced provincial spending aimed at upgrading and maintaining several local public services.

MPP Monte McNaughton says 12 municipalities in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex will benefit from a $2,277,997 investment through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. This includes Dawn-Euphemia and Brooke-Alvinston, which will receive $100,000 each.

“The past year and a half have been particularly challenging for the municipalities in our riding,” says McNaughton in a news release. “That is why I’m so pleased to see both levels of governments taking steps to ensure we have the necessary infrastructure in place to ensure the people of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex are safe and can maintain both their physical and mental health.”

The funding will go towards a municipal washroom in Brooke-Alvinston and an upgrade to the municipal fire station.

And in Dawn-Euphemia, the funding will be utilized for maintenance at the public works facility and the addition of a repair shop.

The rest of the funding will support upgrades and repairs to fire stations, municipal buildings and washrooms, and athletics facilities in other nearby communities.
