Residents in the Dresden area will have an opportunity to hear what’s on the minds of those running in the upcoming municipal election this week.
A Meet the Candidates Night is being held at the Ken Houston Memorial Arena Thursday evening, hosted by Dresden C.A.R.E.D (Citizens Against Reckless Environmental Disposal.) Organizers say among the topics for discussion will be York 1’s plans for the landfill on Irish School Road, agriculture, infrastructure, and taxes.
All candidates running in wards 3, 4, and 5 have been invited, along with those running for the mayor’s seat.
Doors open at 6 o’clock and introductions will begin at 7.
