Mermaids & Mariners Coming To The Shores Of The St. Clair

A new, nautical themed event featuring and celebrating Mermaids, Mariners and more is coming to the shore of the St. Clair River this summer.
Tourism Sarnia Lambton is pleased to announce a new nautical event that is coming to the shores of the scenic St. Clair River. On Saturday, August 20th, Deeply Creative will be hosting Kern Water’s Mermaids & Mariners on the St. Clair presented by Landshark Lager Canada. The event will take place on the shores of Brander Park in Port Lambton, Ontario! (4555 St. Clair Parkway)

Kern Water’s Mermaids & Mariners on the St. Clair, presented by Landshark Lager Canada, is an all-ages, adult, and family-friendly event celebrating all things nautical, proudly supporting the St. Clair River Trail. Visitors will be able to meet the Mermaids, mingle with Mariners, find some treasures and have a splashing good time!
10am-12pm – Happy Jack’s Galley “Breakfast with Mermaids” feat. Starbucks Coffee with entertainment and speSHELL guest appearance by “The Little Mermaid’s” Ariel (Ticketed Event – Purchase ticketshere!)
12pm-6pm – Landshark Lager “Watering Hole” Grassy Patio (Licensed Beverage Area with bartending services provided byMemorie Lane)
1pm-5pm – Meet the Mermaids (Park/Pavilion Photo Opps) – 20+ mermaids will be swimming in from Toronto to Pennsylvania, and our local waters in between!
1pm-6pm — Pavilion “Paint Splash!” –Paint Your Own Nautical Pottery with Crock a Doodle Sarnia (Walk-in or pre-purchase your pottery choiceshere!)

Mermaids & Mariners received a grant from Lambton County’s Creative County program, and is also working closely with Tourism Sarnia-Lambton to promote this event.
“This project exemplifies what the Creative County Grant Program aims to achieve,” commented Lambton County Warden, Kevin Marriott. “By supporting new, unique, and innovative events that strengthen the creative community and define the County’s unique identity, and ultimately enrich the quality of life for all residents. There will be over 50 vendors, live entertainment, food trucks and a licensed “Watering Hole” (19+). All attendees, children and adults, are encouraged to get into the nautical spirit by dressing up as their own mermaids, sailors or pirates!
