Mexico Agrees To Send Workers Again

One of the big stories locally and across the country during this pandemic has been the effect it has had on big food operations like Greenhill, and several other operations where we have seen large outbreaks.

Same with meatpacking plants.

After 2 Mexican citizens died, and hundreds got sick, Mexico stopped allowing workers to come to Canada.

Another man passed away on Sunday.

But late Sunday night they got a promise from Ottawa to increase precautions, and strengthen the foreign workers program.

Canada promised to reach out to all employers and make sure they are compliant.

If not, strict sanctions will apply.

In the release the Mexican government praised the feds for their strong bilateral efforts.
