Monte McNaughton says in order to solve the looming skilled trades shortage, those doing the hiring in the sector need to find new ways of talking to the younger generation and understanding their priorities.
McNaughton says allowing those in their 20s and early 30s to feel safe and work independently will ultimately benefit workers, employers, and the sector as a whole.
