Millions left in community as a result of IPM

The tractors are gone and the crowds have dispersed, but visitors left a lot of green in Chatham-Kent as a result of the just completed International Plowing Match and Rural Expo near Pain Court.

“It’s certainly in the millions (of dollars) as far as the economic spin off that happens,” said IPM and Rural Expo Co-chair Darrin Canniff.

Canniff says attendance for the five days event was just under 78-thousand people.

Final figures won’t be known for another month or so.
