Minor injuries have been reported following a late-night kitchen fire in Tilbury. 
One person was treated by paramedics after Friday night’s blaze on Mint Line.
“Unattended cooking is the number one cause of fires in Canada,” says Public Educator Whitney Burk. “Best practice is to always remain in the kitchen while cooking, especially when cooking at high temperatures.”
Damage is pegged at $10,000.
