Missing Utility Trailer Found Following O’Neill Line Break In

An arrest has been made in connection to a break in at a Howard Township residence last week.

Police were called to an O’Neill Line home Sunday afternoon for the second time in a week, responding to a complaint about suspicious activity.

Two people in a vehicle were spotted near the home yesterday, but the suspects drove off before officers arrived.

Authorities were able to track down the vehicle and arrested the two occupants.

Investigators searched one suspect’s property in Wallaceburg, finding a trailer that had been reported stolen from the O’Neill Line property on March 27. A 1963 Cadillac reported stolen at the same time remains missing.

A 37-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5000. He will face the charges in court May 1.

The second man was released unconditionally.
