The charges keep piling up for organizers of church services at Old Colony Mennonite Churches in Chatham-Kent.
Police went to the Wheatley, Dresden, and Charing Cross Road churches yesterday morning, finding large indoor gatherings at each one.
Authorities say there were roughly 160 cars parked at the Wheatley church with more than 100 people inside.
A 50-year-old Dover Township man was charged with failing to comply with the Reopening Ontario Act.
Similar charges were laid against a Chatham Township man and a man from Merlin in connection to the other two church services.
Authorities say roughly 60 people were found at the Dresden Church, and more than 90 inside the Charing Cross building.
Current COVID restrictions limit the capacity of indoor and outdoor religious services to 10 people.
The maximum fine for organizers of indoor church services under the province’s stay at home order is $10,000.
