More Charges Laid for Large Church Gatherings

Another Chatham-Kent resident is facing charges following a large church gathering, this time in Leamington.

The 46-year-old has been charged under the Reopening Ontario Act following a large gathering in the 700 Mersea Road 8 on Sunday.

Earlier that day, the OPP were also called out on repeated complaints of church services in the 1300 block of Mersea Road 8, and found the building well above the limit of 10 people. A 29-year-old from Leamington has claimed responsibility for that gathering and has been charged.

Over the weekend, two Merlin men were charged in connection to large services held at a Wheatley Mennonite church Saturday and Sunday.
