More CK Communities Getting Connected

More communities in Chatham-Kent are getting connected to high-speed internet.

Local provider TekSavvy says its fibre service is now available to 270 homes and businesses in Wallaceburg with the next stage of the roll-out expected to be finished early this summer.

“Wallaceburg’s importance as the second-largest community in Chatham-Kent means its industry and business sectors and its residents require a reliable high-speed fibre-optic network to help the community continue to grow,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff.

After an initial launch last August, the ISP has also completed its fibre to home network in Thamesville, connecting over 530 customers.

“High-speed fibre internet service is a game-changer for Thamesville,” says Charlie Burns, Chief Technology Officer at TekSavvy. “We’re proud to deliver the connectivity that will make a difference to the community.”
