More COVID Patients Released From Hospital

The number of COVID patients continues to decline at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

This morning’s report includes 16 patients with the virus, including 9 who are being treated primarily for COVID-19.

There are now only 2 COVID patients in the ICU, and four in the hospital’s progressive care unit.

Public Health is reporting 64 new cases today with a seven-day rolling average of 43 case per day.

There are now just five active outbreaks. Park Street Place in Dresden has been cleared with a total of 31 cases since January 12th.

Ongoing outbreaks continue in two group homes, Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg (10 total cases since January 24th,) St Andrews Residence in Chatham (15 total cases since January 21st,) and Village on the Ridge in Ridgetown (42 total cases since January 17th.)
