While Chatham ophthalmologist Christopher Anjema waits for a hearing at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, he’s being hit with more restrictions on his practice.
Late last month the provincial body placed three new restrictions on the doctor’s practice.
Anjema is no longer allowed to perform three different elective laser eye surgeries without approved supervision.
There’s no word on when his hearing could take place.
It’s just the latest in a series of issues the oversight body has had – in the past few years, Anjema has also been under investigation for standards of practice and OHIP billings.
