A Chatham-Kent man will have to answer to a judge in court after he was arrested twice in less than four hours.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a northeast Chatham home at around 6:30 a.m. on Monday after a woman reported that her son had returned to the property after he was “removed” twice the day before.

Authorities arrived at the scene and arrested the son, who was later charged and released from custody with conditions.

Just over three hours later, at around 10 a.m., police were contacted again by the same woman after he returned to the home, violating the conditions of his release.

As a result, the 37-year-old accused was arrested again and charged with unlawfully being in a dwelling and failing to comply with an undertaking. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
