A motorcyclist will be without his bike for a few days following a minor collision in Raleigh Township.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a section of Bloomfield Road just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 after a motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and fell onto the gravel shoulder of the road.

The rider was not injured but officers determined that he had been operating the motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol.

As a result, a 45-year-old Thamesville man was arrested and issued a three-day driver’s licence suspension. He was later released from custody without conditions or charges.
