Multiple Collisions Lead to Charges

A busy day for Chatham-Kent Police, responding to a number of collisions around Chatham.

Around 11:30, two vehicles collided on St Clair Street between Wiltshire Drive and McFarlane Avenue. No one was hurt. A 40-year-old Pain Court woman was charged with making an unsafe turn.

Just after 4, officers responded to another crash on St Clair Street after a 23-year-old Chatham man ran into an unmarked police car. The driver in that case is charged with making an unsafe lane change.

And both parties involved are in hot water following a crash between a car and a bike on Park Avenue West. The cyclist is charged with riding on the sidewalk, while the driver is facing charges of ‘starting from a stopped position not in safety.’
