Nominations are now closed for the municipal election in Chatham-Kent later this year.
Don “Sparky” Leonard and Amy Finn filed their papers today for Ward Six, while Mary Anne Udvari and Jordan Dell will now be the ballot in Wards four and one respectively.
Meantime, David VanDamme is backing out of the race in Ward Three. He filed a notice of withdrawal with the clerk today.
In total, six hopefuls have let their names stand for the position of Mayor while 45 people have filed papers throughout the six wards.
Voters will make their choices for mayor, councilors and school board trustee on Oct. 22.
