Municipality Still Eyeing Office Space at the DCC

Municipal officials are looking over their options when it comes to future office space needs.

With an aging city hall that is in need of millions of dollars of repairs, Chatham-Kent administration will prepare a report that will outline the options for relocation or redevelopment of municipal offices to the mostly vacant Downtown Chatham Centre.

The downtown Chatham mall was recently sold to local investors and could be a solution in providing space for municipal offices.

The current Chatham-Kent Civic Centre was built in 1977 and needs millions of dollars in renovations.
