Andrea Horwath spent some time in Chatham this week defending her party’s idea of three weeks of vacation a year.
The leader of the provincial NDP says it makes sense from every angle.
“It’s about making sure people have a chance to spend time with their families and a work life balance. Employees that take their vacation and have a good amount, are happier, healthier and more productive,” says Horwath. “Canada is 3rd last in OECD countries when it comes to the amount of vacation we have.”
