Nearly 100 Drivers Pay For Ignoring A Simple Direction

Dozens of motorists are in trouble after ignoring signage in Chatham.With construction going on in the Grand Ave West and Lacroix area, crews have put up signs prohibiting left-hand turns.

However, this didn’t deter 87 drivers, who were stopped and charged with making illegal turns this week.

Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Sergeants say they’ve directed their attention to this area to ensure the safety of construction workers, pedestrians, and drivers, and to maintain the flow of traffic.
