Neighbour Dispute Ends In Weapon Charges For Couple

A local couple is facing weapon charges following an incident in Thamesville.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a residence in Thamesville on Thursday shortly before noon for a neighbour dispute.

Authorities said an altercation took place between several parties and two people were arrested.

As a result, a 32-year-old man and his 27-year-old girlfriend are now charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats. The man is additionally charged with assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both of the accused have been released from custody with a future court date.
