New Audio Learning Equipment Donation To Library

Thamesville’s library is now equipped with new audio equipment for children, thanks to a recent donation.

The Thamesville LaSertoma Club has donated a Yoto listening station and an expanded Yoto collection to the Thamesville branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library.

A Yoto is a screen-free, interactive audio player designed for children ages three and older to enjoy stories, music, and educational content independently and safely.

The Yoto collection at the library now includes several borrowable titles, such as the K-Pop Demon Hunters Soundtrack, the Harry Potter series, and the Wimpy Kid Collection.

According to library officials, access to these audio devices increases accessibility and supports various learning styles, while spreading the joy of reading through an engaging and inclusive format.

Yoto kits and cards were introduced at the library last fall, and have quickly become one of the most popular offerings for young readers.
