Toyin Crandell, who is a life and business coach, is in the running against Chatham businessman Mike Grail to replace Dave Van Kesteren once he retires.

Crandell says she’s focused on improving the community as a whole.

“I want to really revive our community to a place where they say ‘This is where I’m from and I’m proud of it,’ I love being here and I want us all to do that work,” Crandell explains. “Bringing new ideas to the table to say how can we attract business, attract people, and cause our community to thrive on a fiscal perspective.”

Crandell ran for a seat in the last federal election in Etobicoke North, but recently moved to Ridgetown.

Since moving to Chatham-Kent, she’s become involved in organizations like the United Way, Rotary, and the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce.

“I know that my strength is advocacy, and representation, and speaking up on behalf of my community.”
