A special piece of Chatham-Kent’s history is being brought to life in a new comic book.

Artist Scott Chantler is releasing “All Stars: The true story of the 1934 Chatham Coloured All-Stars” next month.

The All Stars were the first black team to win an Ontario Baseball Amateur Association title.

Chantler will be on hand at the Chatham branch of the public library on April 27th to launch the book, with a talk about the team’s history and a brief autograph session.

All proceeds will support the Chatham-Kent Black Historical Society.
