Local businesses looking to sell their merchandise online are being offered a new service that is expected to make shopping in Chatham-Kent even easier.
LUVLOCAL, a new e-commerce platform, provides a way for local producers and artisans sell their products to residents in every corner of the community. Businesses that utilize LUVLOCAL can have their products purchased online 24/7 and then delivered to customer doorsteps across Chatham-Kent.
“For years, I’ve seen first-hand the challenges that local small businesses face in competing with limited resources, keeping pace with large competitors, and handling economic forces that we have no control over,” said Moréna McDonald, one of founders of LUVLOCAL. “We’re already doing a great job as a community supporting local, and LUVLOCAL will just better empower our ability to build the local economy.”
Local businesses are able to join now for the official launch of the website on November 15. The organization behind LUVLOCAL is waiving all start-up fees for product photography, website setup and e-commerce setup.
