The kitchen at the Chatham-Kent Hospice has been given a bit of a facelift, thanks to a recent grant.
The South Kent Wind Community Fund recently handed over $9750 to the hospice for some upgrades, including a large freezer, dishwasher, and pantry shelving.
“The upgrades to our appliances will improve the storage space and flow of our hospice kitchen,” says kitchen coordinator Karen Konecny-Brooks. “This will be greatly appreciated by our kitchen volunteers who prepare meals for our residents and soups and baked goods for their family and friends.”
Since it opened in 2016, the Chatham-Kent Hospice has provided end of life care for more than 720 families.
