A huge number of new cases of COVID-19 is being reported across Ontario today, but it also comes with a big asterisk.
The Health Ministry says there are 732 new cases being added to the province’s total number of infections, however thanks to a data review at Toronto Public Health, some of those numbers are from the spring and summer.
As far as the regional breakdown goes, Toronto aside, 141 of the new cases come from Ottawa and another 111 in Peel Region.
Regionally, Windsor-Essex is reporting just three new cases today, while Lambton Public Health added one new case, bringing the total number of active cases to three.
As of Thursday afternoon, there are three active cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent, including one patient being treated in the ICU at CKHA.
