New Regional COVID Restrictions for Windsor-Essex, Lambton

It’s a day of changing COVID restrictions in many areas of the province.

Although nothing’s changing in Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex is being moved into the Red-Control framework, which includes, only going out for essential reasons such as work, school, and groceries; limiting indoor seating at restaurants to 10 with a greater emphasis on take-out, delivery, and outdoor dining.

Lambton County is joining Chatham-Kent in the Yellow-Protect level of restrictions, which includes indoor gatherings of up to 10, six people per table at restaurants, and capacity limits at sports or rec facilities.

The province announced another 1708 new cases of the virus on Sunday and 24 additional deaths.
